The Design & Construction Recruitment Company (DCRC) was formed by Chris Bell who commenced his recruitment career back in the late 1980’s covering trades and labour across the UK. Chris progressed very quickly as a technical specialist focusing on both the UK and international markets. His drive and ambition to work closer with his clients and candidates has given Chris the opportunity to travel extensively overseas on business to locations such as France, Germany, South Africa, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Canada and Australia. Although born in the UK, Chris has also lived in Australia for 11 years where he launched Hill McGlynn Australia who soon became one of the country's leading construction recruiters, opening five offices across Australia whilst also working with clients across Asia, the Middle East and back in the UK. More recently Chris headed up Carillion’s internal recruitment business SkyBlue Solutions with 11 offices across the UK supporting Carillion’s core business units in Facilities Maintenance, Road Maintenance, Construction, Rail, Infrastructure, Utilities, M&E, Roads and Highways. He then went on to establish the SkyBlue brand in Canada again to support Carillion’s growth in North America.   


After 25 years building and working for other recruitment brands Chris decided it was time to create a recruitment practice that didn’t just focus on the numbers or the KPIs but one that would truly focus on working in partnership with both clients and candidates to achieve successful outcomes for both parties and a practice that has the same values and methodologies as his own, where “every client and candidate we represent would experience a 1st class recruitment service, where we treat everyone as we would expect to be treated ourselves”
